Wheaton College Professor - Donald Ratcliff
Discovers Cure For Adult Porn Addiction

Doctor Donald Ratcliff is a devout Christian who spent thirty years teaching children's spirituality at places like Wheaton College. His books include titles like:

Child Faith: Experiencing God and Spiritual Growth with Your Children
The Complete Guide to Religious Education Volunteers
Handbook of Preschool Religious Education
Raising Your Child: From Birth to Twelve
Using Psychology in the Church

But he did more than that. He discovered a cure for adult porn addiction and a procedure that prevented pedophilia. He told investigators that his method was “potentially therapeutic” and a “healthy alternative” to adult pornography. He also said research in Europe determined it was a way to avoid becoming a pedophile.

So what was his method? You'll find it hard to believe, but he seriously declared that the problems could be solved by watching child porn! His private collection included naked girls as young as three years old, but his favourite was a movie depicting the rape of a girl estimated to be between 5 and 8 years old.

The good Christian doctor was arrested in March 2012

In March 2014 he was sentenced to 180 days in prison.

He is expected to be released on parole after serving 90 days.

A Lot Of Christians Would Go Around
Slaughtering All The Babies ! ! !

This is how demented you can get when religion takes over your life.

As soon as the original video was uploaded to YouTube (link below) the criticisms came rolling in - and not just from atheists. Other Christians were appalled to find one of their own (the FivePointBaptist) declaring that his fellow believers would be prepared to slaughter babies simply because they were born to non-Christian parents.

Within a very short time the uploader tried to explain the situation by adding captions that were displayed while the video was playing . He said that the preacher (FivePointBaptist) wasn't saying that Christians would actually "go around slaughtering all the babies," but that they might be tempted to do so. Nope. The FivePointBaptist very clearly said,
"A lot of Christians would go around slaughtering all the babies. They'd go to the Muslim countries and slaughter all the Muslim babies and all the Hindu babies, to guarantee their salvation."
The YouTube uploader went on to claim that Christians actually have a good reason to murder the babies of non-Christian parents because if they were left alive they might grow up to rebel against god!

Even more pathetically, the uploader also stated that baby slaughtering Christians would not be acting out of hatred but with love! If the babies grew up in another religion they would  miss their chance for "eternal bliss" so best to kill them straightaway; best to deny them their threescore years and ten, and turn them into sunbeams for Jesus before that option is closed to them..

The uploader went even further and said that, "God does not take innocent life," thus implying that if a Christian kills a Muslim or a Hindu baby then, by definition, the baby is not innocent (because God would not allow it to be killed otherwise). Furthermore (says the uploader) the non-Christian parents would have no reason to complain because they do not have Christian morality and are therefore unable to hold any valid opinions "concerning preserving innocent life."

And finally the uploader points out that people don't care about the number of abortions that occur around the world, so why should they get all uppity if "A lot of Christians would go around slaughtering all the babies."

Then the FivePointBaptist tries to defend himself in the video's comments section.

He says that nice Christians like him would never slaughter babies, but: "Most people who profess the name of Christ are not true converts," and they are the ones who "would run around killing babies." Fancy that! Christians with the same beliefs as the FivePointBaptist are the true believers and everyone else is not a "real" Christian. Isn't that handy? [All swans are white if you don't count the black ones.]

In a follow-up comment the FivePointBaptist explains that we can accept his weasel-words because he has the special ability to recognise fake Christians whenever they appear. He writes, "I've been studying the bible and apologetics for about 10 years, I've know [sic] the difference between true and false converts for some time now."

So that's how the video uploader and the FivePointBaptist have tried to scramble back onto the moral high ground, but they have failed miserably - and everything said in the video clearly demonstrates that they are among the most despicable people on the planet. They casually declare that in certain circumstances Christians would consider it appropriate to slaughter babies born to non-Christian parents, and furthermore, the parents wouldn't have the right to complain because they do not possess "Christian morality" !

Watch the video again. Imagine if this creep was teaching your children at Sunday School.

-----

Like so many Christian preachers, the FivePointBaptist is probably a control freak who gets his kicks by telling people what to do and when to do it. When he says jump he expects people to jump - and if they don't? Well they'd be better off dead. The thought pops easily into his head because that's how God usually solves these problems - and the FivePointBaptist regards himself as God's little helper so he tends toward a similar problem solving technique.

So now the FivePointBaptist considers the problem of children born to non-Christian parents. They're not going to obey his orders. They're not going to jump when he says jump. So what good are they? No good at all. Might as well get rid of them. Might as well kill them.

But he doesn't have the courage of his convictions. He is much too afraid to tell his audience that if God gave him the OK he would be quite happy to start killing babies --- so he projects his baby-killing desires onto other Christians! He let's them take the blame for his own sick fantasy.

And we know it is his fantasy because there was no-one else telling him that they were interested in starting a Crusade against babies. There were no Christians saying they wanted to "go to the Muslim countries and slaughter all the Muslim babies". Those words came directly from the FivePointBaptist himself.

And when I call him an "arsehole", he will condemn me as the crude one!

So Easily Fooled

I sometimes tell Christians that I disagree with the bible because it advocates violence with war mongering statements like this:
Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears

"No, no," says the Christian. "You've got it all backwards. The bible actually says the exact opposite."
Beat your swords into plowshares, and your spears into pruning hooks

That's when I point them to Joel 3:10.

The look of bewilderment on their face is pretty to watch.

Reading The Bible

Here's how most Christians read the bible - holding the book under their arm while the knowledge seeps in through the skin.

On another site, on another subject, a commenter named 'woozy' humorously explained the depth of understanding achieved by Christians who read the bible in this fashion:
I mean for thousands of years you have this holy book. Okay, it’s a little dense and the language is archaic and there’s some creepy bloody stuff in the middle. But for the most part it’s your holy book. Even if you don’t really know what this story about this poor guy covered in boils is about, you have some sense that it’s got to be about something. You’re sure it’s pretty deep ’cause otherwise what was the point of wasting all those sunny Sundays in dreary Sunday School? So this Book of Job is about something… “God is good” or “behave yourself” or something. It’s holy at any rate and it’s your holy book. So anyone wanting to make fun if it can fuck off, all right. Your holy book; fuck off.

Alvis Wayne - Rockabilly Daddy

I love rockabilly music and one of my favourite tunes from the 1950s is Alvis Wayne singing "Don't Mean Maybe Baby".

And, believe it or not, fifty years later, he was still rocking up a storm. Here he is, in 2006, singing his signature tune, "Rockabilly Daddy".

We Do Not Worship The Dead

When Fred Phelps (the Christian gay-basher) finally died his daughter told a CNN reporter there would be no funeral service for her father because, "We do not worship the dead."

Funny, I thought that's exactly what they did do!

What Does A Christian Want With A Red Hot Poker?

Tristan Emmanuel holds a Master’s of Theology from McMaster Divinity School so he knows what he's talking about when it comes to religion. He knows that Jesus said,
But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. (Matthew 5:39)
But when a TV host (Bill Maher) refers to the millions of people who died in the Flood and goes on to describe God as a psychotic mass murderer, Tristian Emmanuel tells Jesus to stick his namby-pamby teachings up his skinny little arse. Bill Maher may be allowed to broadcast such horrible things, says Emmanuel, but that does not mean Christians should turn the other cheek.

Why is he so quick to disobey the rules laid down by Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible? Because he wants to see a return of the blasphemy laws which allow people like him to bash the shit out of any one who says something with which he disagrees. He actually lists the punishments he is keen to inflict upon any innocent person who disagrees with his religion:
  • sent to prison for six months
  • placed into a pillory
  • getting whipped
  • boring a hole through the tongue with a red hot iron
  • sent to the gallows with a rope around the neck

Christian Love and Tolerance
More honoured in the breach than the observance.

Postscript:
After hundreds of complaints Emmanuel tried to do some back-pedalling and stated that at no time did he ever say that blasphemers should be cruelly punished.

But that's exactly what he did say...
