Tristan Emmanuel holds a Master’s of Theology from McMaster Divinity
School so he knows what he's talking about when it comes to religion. He knows that Jesus said,
But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. (Matthew 5:39)
But when a TV host (Bill Maher) refers to the millions of people who died in the Flood and goes on to describe God as a psychotic mass murderer, Tristian Emmanuel tells Jesus to stick his namby-pamby teachings up his skinny little arse. Bill Maher may be allowed to broadcast such horrible things, says Emmanuel, but that does not mean Christians should turn the other cheek.
Why is he so quick to disobey the rules laid down by Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible? Because he wants to see a return of the blasphemy laws which allow people like him to bash the shit out of any one who says something with which he disagrees. He actually lists the punishments he is keen to inflict upon any innocent person who disagrees with his religion:
- sent to prison for six months
- placed into a pillory
- getting whipped
- boring a hole through the tongue with a red hot iron
- sent to the gallows with a rope around the neck
Christian Love and Tolerance
More honoured in the breach than the observance.
Postscript:
After hundreds of complaints Emmanuel tried to do some back-pedalling and stated that at no time did he ever say that blasphemers should be cruelly punished.
But that's exactly what he did say...
