A Christian Calls For Violent Revolution

Did you think I was being unfair in the previous post when I implied that Christians yearn for the days of the Inquisitions when they were able to silence their critics by condemning them to the torture chamber in the church basement?

Listen to Dr Scott Lively, a 21st century attorney, pastor, human-rights consultant, and president of Defend the Family International. This is his latest diatribe against the people he refers to as "elites" because they don't belong to the same religion he does. Take notice of the medieval imagery he employs: Imagery that goes all the way back to the Middle Ages; all the way back to the Inquisitions:

The natural family is the ecosystem of humanity! It must be preserved at all costs.

How? By a populist uprising! The elites need to see the angry mob – liberals and conservatives together – surging through the streets, pitchforks and torches held aloft, ready to tear down Frankenstein’s castle with their bare hands if need be. For Christians it’s Jesus and the moneychangers time! Making a whip of cords like He did with His own hands, and letting these arrogant puppet-masters know we mean to use it (metaphorically speaking).
[...]
The only way to deter the elites is with the threat of the mob. They need to see the pitchforks and torches to know they’ve gone too far and need to back down.

Remember, it is impossible to be moral without god

The Religion Of Peace In Action

Shiite and Sunni Muslims deciding which sect represents the true Islam.

Warning: This video is not for the fainthearted
I would advise that you DO NOT watch it
Original video here:

Most people would prefer not to watch this video because it shows the brutal way in which religious people behave when they have total control of their opponents. It is extremely likely, however, that many Christians will enjoy the video because it will remind them of the glory days when the Inquisitors defended the faith by ensuring there was an effective torture chamber operating in every church basement. No Special Church Services For This Anniversary

On this day - April 20th, 1233 - dear old Pope Gregory IX issued the papal bull (Livet ad capiendos) that put the Dominicans in charge of the very first Inquisition.

Surprisingly it took nearly 20 years before the church learned how to make money from the enterprise. It was May 15th, 1252, when Pope Innocent IV issued another papal bull (Ad extirpanda) which allowed the church to confiscate money and property from anyone found guilty of heresy.

Always a thinker, the completely mis-named Pope Innocent IV, used the same papal bull to increase the number of guilty verdicts (and thus church profits) by allowing his Inquisitors to torture all suspects.
3. ...whoever shall find the heretical man or woman shall boldly seize, with impunity, all his or their goods, and freely carry them off, to belong to the remover with full right...
26. The head of state or ruler must force all the heretics whom he has in custody, provided he does so without killing them or breaking their arms or legs, as actual robbers and murderers of souls and thieves of the sacraments of God and Christian faith, to confess their errors and accuse other heretics whom they know, and specify their motives, and those whom they have seduced, and those who have lodged them and defended them,as thieves and robbers of material goods are made to accuse their accomplices and confess the crimes they have committed.

You'd think the churches would be proud to remember the commencement of the Inquisitions which formed such a big part of their history over the next 600 years but, for some reason, they prefer not to talk about it. Gutless Wonders!

How To Persuade An Atheist

The headline reads:
How to Persuade an Atheist to Become Christian

But down at the bottom of the article (under the heading "warnings") we discover that the plan won't work:
...the chance of one converting is more than unlikely

Islam: The religion of Peace

Asylum seekers arrested for 'throwing fellow passengers overboard' in religious row

Italian police have arrested 15 Muslim migrants suspected of throwing a dozen Christians from a boat in the Mediterranean. Police in the Sicilian capital Palermo said they had arrested the men on Thursday after survivors reported they had thrown 12 people from Nigeria and Ghana to their deaths. The men were charged with multiple homicide motivated by religious hatred. "The motive for the resentment was traced to their faiths," the police said in a statement.

Pompous Twit Until The Day He Died

Andy Meakins was a gentle giant of the faith, an Englishman who loved Jesus Christ and served Him in Africa for many years. In 1996 an Ethiopian Airlines flight was hijacked and crashed into the ocean just off the Comoros Islands after running out of fuel—you may have heard the story. The dramatic moment of impact was caught on home video and broadcast around the world. Only later did we learn of something even more dramatic happening in the cabin as the plane headed for disaster.

Andy Meakins and his wife were on that plane, seated together. The hijackers demanded to be flown to Australia even though there wasn't nearly enough fuel for that distance. As they neared the Comoros Islands in the Indian Ocean, one engine flamed out, and the pilot told passengers that the remaining engine would soon run out of fuel as well. Immediately, Andy's wife heard the snap of a seatbelt being unbuckled and turned to see her husband stand up.

"Many of us might die in this crash," he called out, "so there's something you need to know."Andy then began explaining the gospel simply and urgently, moving to each part of the cabin so that everyone would hear. He invited people to place their trust in Jesus Christ in repentance and faith. A flight attendant heard Andy's words, bowed her head, and asked Jesus to forgive her sins and come into her heart. She watched many more respond and, along with another survivor, later told the story. Of the 175 people on board, 125 died, including Andy, who was still on his feet preaching the gospel as the plane hit the water.

Not a thought for the followers of Islam, Baha'i, Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Jainism, Judaism, Shinto, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism, and certainly not a thought for unbelievers on the flight. He pompously assumed that everyone on board was a Christian or wanted to be one and he started preaching "so that everyone would hear".

Chances are there were Christians on the flight. Christians who had been studying the bible all their lives. Christians who knew more about the bible than Andy Meakins could ever hope to know. But Meakins pompously assumed they were completely ignorant of their religion and condescendingly presumed to set them right by preaching his version of the bible: "Andy then began explaining the gospel simply and urgently".

Come on all you Sikhs, all you Jews, all you atheists. Forget all your idiotic ideas and listen only to me, me, me...
