This story is about the sudden death of Jeremy Whitman (on the left in the picture below) who, until recently, was a pastor at the Lancaster Baptist Church.
The story was written by Paul Chappell, current pastor at the Lancaster Baptist Church, and it is noteworthy, not for what it says about Whitman, but for what it doesn't say.
In fact, Whitman was involved in a road rage incident. He pulled up at the traffic lights, jumped out of his car with gun in hand and murdered the driver of the car next to him. He shot the driver (Erik Ungerman) multiple times and then escaped into traffic while Ungerman bled to death. When the police finally caught up with him, Whitman took the cowards way out by firing a bullet into his silly brain.
Apparently Paul Chappell didn't think any of those details were worth mentioning!
Well of course not. There's no way a baptist preacher is going to admit that one of his offsiders is a murderer. In fact, as soon as he discovered who had committed the murder, Chappell made his staff go through the church website and remove all references to Whitman as a pastor.
