What Happens To Blasphemers and Sabbath Breakers? God wants them killed! Check out the penalties for breaking the commandments and then ask yourself: Is he a God of Love or a complete arsehole?



Commandment #1

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3)
Penalty: DEATH
Thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God. (Deuteronomy 13:10)


Commandment #2
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. (Exodus 20:4)
Penalty: CURSES 
Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image. (Deuteronomy 27:15)


Commandment #3

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain. (Exodus 20:7)
Penalty: DEATH
He that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death. (Leviticus 24:16)

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. (Exodus 20: 8)
Penalty: DEATH
Whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. (Exodus 31:15)

He that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death. (Exodus 21:17)

He that killeth any man shall surely be put to death. (Leviticus 24:17)

Thou shalt not commit adultery. (Exodus 20:14)
Penalty: DEATH
The adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10)

Thou shalt not steal. (Exodus 20:15)
Penalty: COMPENSATION
If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep. (Exodus 22:1)


Commandment #9

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. (Exodus 20:16)
Penalty: UNSPECIFIED
A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. (Proverbs 19:5)


Commandment #10

Thou shalt not covet. (Exodus 20:17)
Penalty: NONE MENTIONED
No penalty mentioned in the Bible.
